Acadiana Homeschool Tutorial seeks to aid Christian parents in cultivating joyful, wise, and virtuous students whose lives reflect truth, beauty, and goodness. Our aim is that they are prepared to live in Christian community and equipped to lead and transform culture through Christ. In particular, we desire to teach students to think biblically and to develop a Christian worldview.
We recognize the diversity of belief in the orthodox Christian community and the need for grace and unity among believers. Therefore, instructors at Acadiana Homeschool Tutorial embrace that system of Biblical Christian doctrine which is considered to be central to all orthodox Christian churches and which sets Christianity apart from all other faiths.
Specifically, we adhere to the doctrines expressed in the early ecumenical creeds of the Church (the Apostles´, the Nicene, the Chalcedonian, and the Athanasian) and the confessions of faith issuing from the Protestant Reformation, including the Belgic Confession of Faith, the Heidelberg Catechism, the Thirty-nine Articles of the Church of England, and the Westminster Confession of Faith.
